Family Focus 
Juliana walked through the doors of the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House for the first time in 2006. Nicholas, her three year old son, had been diagnosed with African Burkitts Lymphoma EBV positive. His battle with cancer was just beginning and after eight months in the hospital, he joined his mom at their 'home-away-from-home.' Two years later, Nicholas has been in and out of the hospital almost daily. During this time, he has also been diagnosed with autism and Eosinophilic Disorder. There is no cure for EE and its devastating, long term, potentially fatal effects; only treatment and maintenance. Their hope now is to go to Cincinnati where there are specialists in EE. As a part of the RMHC family, Juliana and Nicholas are in our thoughts each day. |
