5 Ways Your Business Can Support A Local Charity

Help Our Community Be Strong

Let’s be honest, like most non-profits we have a small office and often find if difficult to do everything on our own. The great thing is that we are located in one of the most caring and philanthropic cities in the world who want to help support local charities such as ours!

There are so many ways to get involved. Monetary donations as well as much needed items on the Wish List are a great way to support the children and families that find themselves staying in one of our 38 rooms. They say it takes a village and here at Ronald McDonald House Charities that could not be truer!

  1. Volunteer
    • Volunteers are the core of Ronald McDonald House Charities and are vital in providing quality service and support for children and families in need. There are numerous opportunities for individuals as well as large groups to get involved at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and at Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake.
  2. Host a Fundraiser
    • Bring together friends, coworkers, and your community groups to host an event with proceeds benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities. The opportunities are endless for ideas on how to help raise funds to help families not have to worry about the cost of staying somewhere warm for the night.
  3. Provide a Dinner
    • We do everything we can to help create a home away from home atmosphere at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House so there is one less thing for families to stress about while they go through hard times. One thing families are always in need of is a nice, warm, home-cooked meal. You can either prepare the meal at the House in one of the kitchens, or have a local restaurant cater.
  4. Collect Pop-Tabs
    • A pop tab is the small metal tab on the top of aluminum beverage cans. We collect these pop tabs to recycle and put the proceeds towards the Adopt-A-Family Program. This program helps subsidize the cost of families staying at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House. For more information about this great program, click here!
  5. Hold a Wish List Drive
    • In-kind donations are an important aspect of support for the Charity and help in providing families with a well-maintained facility. If it were not for the kindness and support received from the local community, we would not be able to provide housing and stability to children and families during their time of need. Click here to view a full list of wish list items!

While McDonald’s Restaurants provide generous support to the Charity, the majority of financial contributions come from community donations, special events and corporate sponsorship.

We are extremely grateful for the many generous organizations, companies, and individuals in the community donate their time, money, and resources each year allowing us to serve thousands of children and families at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake each year!
